St Matthew's has an active music life centred on our two excellent choirs. Both are directed by Gregory Lewis. We sing a full setting of the mass by John Ross or Michael Dudman every Sunday morning at the 8:30 am service, and a traditional Evensong on the first Sunday of the month at 5:00 pm. (The choir is in recess during January)
Children are welcome to join the choir from the age of seven. Treble rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm and Thursdays from 6:15 pm to 8:00 pm. All children may participate in the Voice for Life choral training scheme. Experienced adult choristers are welcome to join us for rehearsal on Thursday evenings from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Please view our current service schedule to see what's happening. We sing hymns from the New English Hymnal in four part harmony, and have a repertoire of over 120 anthems.
We are fortunate to own one of the world's finest small church organs, built by Orgues Létourneau of Québec in 1994. This outstanding instrument is used in our services as well as featuring in solo concert programs. Please view the organ specifications.

The St Matthew's Choir, Wodonga Brass and other local musicians gives occasional concerts in the church, providing the people of the region with a variety of high quality music. Professional soloists and groups also perform during the year. View our recital program for 2008.
